When to break

  • After video calls — eyes and jaw need a release before the next meeting.
  • Every 25–45 minutes of focus — pair with Pomodoro or calendar reminders.
  • Before high-stakes tasks — two minutes of box breathing beats anxious rushing.

What works at a desk

Prioritize sensory and mindfulness breaks when you cannot stand: 20-20-20 eye rule, palming, belly breathing, brain dump. When you can stand, add shoulder rolls, wall push-ups, or a power walk loop.
